WRIGHT, Wyoming (SmallTownPapers) -- WASHINGTON, DC - Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), sent a letter to President Obama supporting Governor Freudenthal's request for a Presidential Disaster Declaration in flood devastated areas of Wyoming. Barrasso recently toured areas of Wyoming that have endured historic flooding due to heavy rains and expedited snow-melt with Governor Freudenthal. He was able to assess the damage first hand.

"After touring the flood devastated communities in the state, it is clear the people of Wyoming require more help. I support the Governor in his request for the federal government to provide all the necessary support and resources to our state. It is imperative that we help these communities recover and restore critical infrastructure that was damaged or destroyed by the floods," said Barrasso.
